Kano - Hoodies All Summer - Free Years Later

Kane Brett Robinson is the person from our perspective we needed to dedicate the introduction of Repping to, and why not?

This multi-talented Artist is a British Grime MC, Rapper, Song Writer & Actor.

Kanos inspiration, influence and 15+ years experience is heard by all whom know him.

We have been listening to Kano for well over a decade. His latest album release in 2019 “Hoodies All Summer” which we have dedicated the introduction of Repping to using a black hoodie during summer 2020 as seen in the images below.

The title of Kano’s latest album, Hoodies All Summer, would to the untrained ear, give an impression of relentless criminal activity, with the hoodie being made a stereotypical racial symbol of gang violence in popular culture. Instead, the legendary UK artist switches this idea, showing the hoodie to be a form of protection from systemic racism and urban decay, as he raps on the central song of the album, "Teardrops".

Watched all episodes of the hit TV show - “Top Boy” which includes 4 series released in 2011, 2013, 2019 and 2022 whereby Kano plays Sully. He has genuinely REPresented us in more ways than you can imagine.

In addition we travelled to his Home Town and surrounding area to take some shots, even drove past his house, Kano is 100% in the line of sight of Repping. From where he has come from to where he is now.

We feel that he deserves to be REPresented.

Repping isn’t a brand. Repping is a positive movement. Repping is something we all need now more than ever.

Our vision is clear.
